The chairman of Emohua local government area, Dr. Chidi Lloyd, has redeemed the two million naira bounty to the police for neutralizing wanted criminal gang leader Chigwaru, popularly known as Occasion.
Recall that the Emohua council chairman had in November placed a two million Naira bounty each on two criminal gang leaders, Chigwaru a.k.a. Occasion, and Nwaburuoke Wosu a.k.a. Abioto, for allegedly being involved in several kidnappings and killings along the Emohua axis of the East-West road.
Dr. Lloyd, while presenting the cheque to the police at the Divisional Police Headquarters in Rumuji on Friday, charged security agencies and the local vigilante to ensure that Nwaburuoke Wosu, popularly known as Abioto, is also brought to justice.
Dr. Lloyd also appealed to the security personnel to ensure adequate security for residents and travelers in the area, particularly during this festive season.
He noted that his administration had made tremendous progress in the fight against crime and criminality in Emohua LGA but promised to improve on the successes recorded to sustain the prevalent peace and security in the area.
